Marriage is like a garden. It must be nurtured, fertilized and cared for or weeds will grow up in it and it will wither and die.

The five greatest words ever uttered are these. “I’m sorry. Please forgive me.”

A good muffler on a car reduces noise. Maybe we ought to attach one to ourselves.

A garage is intended to protect our cars. A house is intended to protect ourselves. Why do we accumulate so much junk in both?

The greatest tragedy in life is not appreciating what we’ve got.

I guess it takes old age to realize that we attach so much importance to unimportant matters.

Why do we spend so much time running away from life instead of learning to master it?

Are we door closers or door openers?

Trust once lost may in time be regained. But it is awfully hard.

What once seemed so unbelievable may at last be believable.

Be a dreamer, even if the facts don’t warrant it. The facts may change.

The more I learn the more I realize just how ignorant I am.

The Christian is not one who prays often, genuflects often, attends meetings often, and who believes the doctrine, but one who follows Christ.

The biggest excuse is “I’m only human.” This is just another way of declaring the untruth of the ages: “My, what a pitiful thing I am.”
