Finally, after all our journeys through this encumbered and
challenging life, after all the painful processing of our repentance, after all the heart-broken tears we have shed, and after all the soul-wrenching disappointments we have suffered, the ultimate grace is bestowed upon us: the complete healing, forgiveness and forgetting of all our errors, and the accidents of our humanness
This is the payoff of a life well-lived. It is the most blessed event of our lives and the most holy moment of eternity: All the angels hush in reverent honor, for no longer do we sit quivering and afraid, lost and alone in our sin, or broken by the vicissitudes of life, but stand ever so confident and worthy, redeemed and made whole at last, at the right side of God
Are you aware that you are special and unique, and though
you stand alone, do you still strive for the highest and best
whether others do or not?
Evelyn Underhill, that most astute specialist of the spirit, observed that the sacrifices you make to become your potential is not self-denial but self-fulfillment
Life is as much a school of discipline as it is for edification
and we should not allow the past to make pessimism the major
part of our character
The true test of character is what we do when no one is
looking
Discretion, they say, is the better part of wisdom. It is also
the better part of valor
So, you wanted to leave the world a better place than it was
when you got here, only to discover that it is worse. Are you
therefore a failure? No, you are not, for there are some battles
that, no matter how noble the intentions, are lost. But a good
cause is worth fighting for, win or lose. We may have lost the
battle, but we have not lost the war. The most important battles we fight are for self anyway. We may not have control over the world,
but we do have control over ourselves
All your efforts to change the other person failed! And so you
bow your head and go away murmuring. But when the world lays
upon you a surprising maturity you realize that it was not your purpose to change that other person, but to change yourself

Some great insights. I especially liked the first couple. I truly hope you have arrived or are arriving at that condition. I promise you that you have nothing to fear. I will always be by your side and so will God.
I also love the picture!
